Ally Program

State Certified real property appraisers and gems & jewelry appraisers can now become Ally ASA members*. ASA's Ally Program will provide you with valuable benefits like:

  • Networking at international conferences and local events
  • Regulatory advocacy and alerts
  • Subscription to ASA publications
  • Discipline-centric list-servs
  • ASA benefit partner savings programs
  • Grants through ASA’s Education Foundation

*Ally members are not able to pursue an ASA designation. In order to pursue such designation, members must meet the Candidate member requirements.


Please submit the following documents specific to your discipline:

Gems & Jewelry Appraisers:

  1. Provide a copy of your diploma from an accredited gemological institution.
  2. Provide resume or qualifications statement.

Real Property Appraisers:

  1. Provide proof of a current state-issued real estate appraiser certification.
  2. Provide proof, either through your listing on the National Appraiser Registry or through an experience log, of no less than three (3) years of full time appraisal experience.

Application Process

Apply online by visiting

  1. Select the Ally Membership option
  2. Upload a copy of each of the required documents listed under the Requirements section specific to your discipline
  3. Acknowledge receipt of and compliance with ASA’s Code of Ethics
  4. Provide payment of $299 for first year’s dues
  5. Submit your application

Approval Process

Once your application is submitted online, it will be promptly reviewed by staff at ASA Headquarters. Upon approval, you will be notified via email. Please note that this review period is typically completed within 5-7 business days.
