ASA’s Principles of Valuation (POV) Courses

These courses are currently offered in several formats to meet the needs of busy and discerning adult students - OnDemand, Virtual, Audio and Classroom settings.  These foundation-building courses take students through the various approaches to valuation and focus on the fundamentals and theory behind performing proper appraisals and the methodology behind the work. 

Chapter Offerings

ASA boasts 77 local chapters through the U.S., Canada and overseas. These chapters provide continuing appraisal education at the local level and therefore are better suited to address issues that may arise within local communities.Many chapters welcome both members and non-members to attend their programs which not only furthers their education/professional development, but also provides them with opportunities to get involved locally.

The American Society of Appraisers is an official provider of The Appraisal Foundation's Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) courses. ASA offers several options for appraisers of all disciplines, including discipline-specific USPAP courses for both business valuers and appraisers of personal property (to include Gems & Jewelry and Machinery & Technical Specialties). ASA CPE Eligible Offerings


The American Society of Appraisers is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
