About the Authors
The American Society of Appraisers (ASA) is an international
nonprofit society of professional valuers originated in 1936
and incorporated in 1952. It is the oldest and only major
appraisal organization representing all of the disciplines
of appraisal specialists. The society promotes education and
the exchange of ideas among those with an interest in the
valuation of machinery and equipment. Six thousand members
strong and headquartered in Washington, D.C., ASA is self-supporting
and independent. ASA's Machinery and Technical Specialties
Committee collaborated on the writing of this book. These
